un/fold (2021) is an A/V performance by roommates LeeAnn Perry and errorbesque featuring live improvised music and livecoded visuals in hydra.js. un/fold was created as a re-imagining of community, support, and artistic collaboration in a time of physical and social distancing, as well as a reflection on the emotional intimacy, conflict, and merging of identities created by sustained co-isolation. The motif of procedurally generated I Ching hexagrams serves as a tribute to their shared APA identity, a reminder of continuous and perpetual change, and an invocation of things to come.
un/fold was produced through generous funding from Kearny Street Workshop and performed at the APAture 2021 Performing Arts Showcase.
